Acknowledgment Of Country
Acknowledgment Of Country
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of country throughout Australia and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to them and their cultures; and to Elders both past and present. We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we work and pay our respects to the Elders past and present.
We extend our respect to the Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander People who we work with today. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land we work on today. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and hopes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the nation.
A better understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures develops an enriched appreciation of Australia’s cultural heritage and can lead to reconciliation. This is essential to the maturity of Australia as a nation and fundamental to the development of an Australian identity.
